Cantiz Content Management System is a video management solution which is used to store, manage and distribute content into the TV everywhere space. Also, CCMS acts as a solution that helps content owners to publish and distribute their content securely and in a more organised way.

As part of the Attinad Softwares design team in Jan 2019, I was given the opportunity to lead design on this project as a UX/UI designer and utilising the best practices to defining and realizing a vision for CCMS.

To start off this project, I went through the current CMS platforms which is available on industry and compiled a list of work flows and actions to kick off a discussion with PMs and POs.
A key outcome of our discussion was identifying the most important sections that we have to focus on,

~Navigation

~Metadata Fields
~Ingest
~user Management

Home Dashboard
Provides a quick overview of the number of contents, Ingest items and Number of Visitors. This will quickly provides users with the most important information within the system.

Navigation
When doing the navigation, We decided to employ a fixed vertical navigation on the left side of the screen. By default the navigation is collapsed and when user hover on the navigation, it will expands. This was intentionally designed in order to maximise the screen real estate due to the nature of the content being viewed.

All Programs
This section acts as a catalog in which a wide variety of contents span. Here, a traditional table design concept was chosen as the fundamental architecture since it enables a content curator to have a quick data scan with less cognitive load.

Metadata Fields
A basic form to fill in the ton of information that outlines a content such as movie, video or asset. A three column horizontal distribution of text fields is in place to swiftly traverse and fill in the long list of accommodated data.

The Cantiz CMS design was a big learning for me. This was a very large and complex working tool that took several months to design and create. In order to arrive at the final designs of the CMS, I completed multiple design iteration session and continuously worked with the PM and PO's to ensure all their demands were met in terms of overall product experience.

And this was a very interesting domain to work in and this project provided me with an opportunity to expand my product knowledge.
